LAW TUTORSHIP

Galatians 3vs.22-25

Introduction

Law (in Christian Faith) is one of the  minors especially for the Grace believers. We've been saved from the law, redeemed from the repercussions that law brings...now we're under grace.

As valid and true the above assertion sounds, the Bible had said  'before faith came!!!' -> thus there were times we're faithless. (vs.23a)

The Bible reading

[22]But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

[23]But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

[24]Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

[25]But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

vs.23

But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed

Faith keeps over

Law keeps under

.times we were hopeless [for faith is the currency with which we make a purchase in the kingdom]. So we couldn't have hope as nothing to buy exists.

...what we now know as teachers of God's word, herald of divine agenda and truth, we were once darkened, blinded and wandered off grid! Why? Because faith hadn't come!

...However,  what predicts the actually time faith would come is nothing but when we believed. (vs.22b: ...that the promise by faith of Jesus Christmight be given to them that believe)

Its not God,  Satan or any other entity but the time individual believes!!!

EVERYDAY IS THE LORD'S DAY, BUT THE DAY YOU BELIEVE IS YOUR DAY

.so during those times of darkness,  law got our back.

How can you explain it... several times when you were without Christ but have a near death experience but somehow you escaped.

Times you walked-off the will of God but you were kept on track even though without God.

Some of us had done terrible things in the past only to be carrying the good news around now. How? Something kept us. A mere luck (some would say); a sheer chance, carefulness or your smartness.  Whichever,  you're kept till faith in Christ should come...

..but all the experiences were what led us unto Christ.  [24] Wherefore the law was our tutor (schoolmaster) to bring us unto Christ. ...

All that happened led you and i to Christ. And so the scripture said it's the law

 A song 🎵🎶🎵 say:

..boti le seponju, lo mu mi wa  (even if it's trouble/trials that brought me ...)

Something was instrumental in our coming to Christ!

 Someone was

Some memories were

Some things were

Some people were

Some situations were

Some circumstances were; etc.

..that brought us to Christ

The essence of this admonition is to encourage us as teachers of God's word to never see less of what's available for us in Christ.  If law brought us and the experience culminated to salvation;  for some healing, restoration,  deliverance,  miracles, etc. Then how much more will Grace deliver if we plung all into it...

vs.25;  now that you're in faith, lay hold on all that's therein. No longer should past experiences be the yardstick for ministry and or ministration...

What God has done in the past is good but what faith in God will deliver now in the present is better. For this one thing I do, (Paul speaking): forgetting those things behind and reaching forth towards the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

why these experiences (law) brought us to Christ was for our justification by faith - for by faith are ye saved

Everything faith does is in the NOW - Present.

 Hebrew 11vs.1; now faith is...

not faith was or faith shall be .!

Our life, messages,  teachings, ministry and or ministration should be faith based i.e. hearing and hearing...by the word of God

We have tapes, and other materials to guide us but they must remain secondary while the word of God through faith and grace becomes primary source of inspiration.

After faith has come, we are no longer a schoolmaster or tutor of law, of yesterday's stale bread. Rather, you are a son (Ephesians 3vs.26,29) an heir (4:1)!

As law tutor us, Grace must mentor us

For by grace are ye saved....

As we pray first (should there be questions and or comments)..

Lord in Jesus name, thank you Father for all You've brought me through. Now, am ready for new... fill me in by Your grace in Jesus name. Amen
